I’ve got in touch with WP Rocket and their response was;
Rosa from WP Rocket here. Thanks for contacting us!
I have checked your website
I can notice what you mention. This usually happens when the plugin uses PHP to do the geolocation and when WP Rocket is activated the cache system starts working, so, if the page is cached, the PHP will never be executed. This is how caching works, avoiding PHP execution to reduce the loading time. This is the normal way WP Rocket (And other caching plugins) works.
Explaining a bit more, the PHP code will run only once (for the first visitor), and for the upcoming visitors will appear the cache version with the flag of the previous visitor.
To solve it, you can:
Using Geolocation/Geotargeting plugins with WP Rocket – poka’s geolocation plugin is not compatible with WP Rocket, but you can switch to a compatible one.
Disable page cache and keep optimizations globally on your site.
Disable the page cache feature in the affected pages. Please keep in mind when you disable the cache feature, the performance of your website will be affected.
If your geolocation feature is using cookies then you might want to try the alternate method below:
Create Different Cache Files with Dynamic and Mandatory CookiesLet me know if you need any further assistance, I am happy to help.😊
Best Regards,I have disabled caching and it seems like GEO location is now shown correctly.
elix4rParticipantIt seems like there was a trouble with one of the installed plugins, and issue is now resolved. Sorry about that.
elix4rParticipantHey!
Indeed, on a PokaTheme is it possible. But what about CasinoAce theme? There is no such option available.
elix4rParticipantHi
I was talking not about the first table, but about Affiliate list view / large table
It had the following short code: [table_list big_table=”true” num=8 sort=”title” css_class=.table-s1 .item .c4 p]
However, when I’m using this shortcode, there is no shot description shown, only the bonus headline. You can see the result on #2 screenshot that I linked via Imgur
Thank you in advance for help.
elix4rParticipantHey
No, not really. I just changed the background color to #f3f3f3 so it matches a “bug” color. I have set background back to the #f6f8fb color, you can check when you have time.
You can easily notice the difference on reviews pages, on casino list pages, on bonus page, etc.
Thanks
elix4rParticipantI don’t think that’s an issue with one of the plugins. I have disabled them all, and issue still remain
However I was trying to find cause of this bug via Google inspect and found out that this parameter is the reason: –mm-color-background
Seems like it comes from styles-vendor.min.css or html.no js file, but I can’t find a way to fix it/change it. I have tried to change “–mm-color-background” value via custom css, but got no luck
Maybe you know what to do?
Thanks
elix4rParticipantHi
Yup, I know that you released a new version for the CasinoAce theme. I’m currently using the latest, 2.1.0 version
Can you please tell me then what can be a reason for such reports from Google? I didn’t made any changes to the Review plugin in the theme itself. But literally every review I have on my website get reports like these.
From the reports I can see that review value is out for range.
I know that if for example I set review rating to 8/10, your theme will automatically divide it by 2, and the end result will show as 4/5.
Somewhy Google takes the “real rating” that I entered in a review itself, rather than the one which was divided.
elix4rParticipantSorry for consufing you, i’ve got things wrong. Forget everything I’ve wrote above, i’ll try to explain again
So basically what I’m trying to do: I’ve created a review for the casino. Inside the review I write text, and at the end of text I put shortcode [table_list_v2 num=10 sort=random]. This way the table appears with the “Positives” (e.g as if it was added into a fulld width section on a sample page)
But when you add the same shortcode into a sample page (not in a full width section, just in regular wordpress editor), the table appears without “Positives”.
You can replicate the issue just if you create a new review -> add table v2 shortcode inside the review.
All I want is to make the table look like if it was on a sample page, e.g without “Positives
elix4rParticipantHi again!
I’ve tried to disable all plugins, that didn’t help. To test thing out I’ve installed empty WordPress on my local machine – result is the same. If you use Table_List_v2 in Full Width Sections, it does show the “Positives” that are inside the review.
However, if you use the Table_List_v2 inside the sample page just by selecting [shortcode] and then writing the code here, it doesn’t show the “Positives”.
I’ve added screenshot for reference.
elix4rParticipantNevermind, I found the Changelog topic on forum 🙂 It’s resolved.
